D's Baptism

I am so proud of D for choosing to follow the Savior's example and be baptized.  As he explained to his best friend the day before as they played, he was going to make a promise to follow Jesus and keep the commandments.  D chose to have one grandpa baptize him and the other give him the Gift of the Holy Ghost.  Hubby gave the talk on baptism and I gave the talk on the Holy Ghost.  We quite liked it that way!  I am grateful Hubby's parents made the sacrifice to drive out here for this special event!  Hubby's mom conducted the music and Grandma Karyl said the opening prayer and M said the closing prayer.  D invited 10 nonmember families to join us and was glad to have church friends there for his special day. A big thank you to Brother H. for taking pictures of our family after conducting the meeting for us! Grandma and Grandpa babysat that night so we got to go watch Wonder Woman in the theater!  Loved it! Aunt Shelley...

Day Camp Mania

I'll let the pictures tell the stories for this post.  I think the biggest difference between Cub Scout camp and Girl Scout camp is that those boys were kept busy every minutes to keep them out of trouble, whereas the girls had plenty of free time... and they didn't get in trouble.  I think it was a good lesson for me to learn as I plan troop meetings next year -- give them plenty of time to snack and play games, not just fulfill badge requirements.  We're certainly willing to sign up for both again next year!

The f uel economy, on the other hand, was dismal pulling the camping trailer against the wind in Wyoming.  Why is it ALWAYS windy on I-80?  playing games with the boy cousins Fishing at  Silver Lake Enjoying baby cousins lounging the notes M made for after we watched the show she & Sloan created and performed Huber grove homestead -- not pictured: the bird that landed on D's head right before I took this  picture visiting  Grandma Wilcox The P rovo Rec Center is amazing!!!  So is eating at Cubby's.
