Our Final Orlando Theme Park Vacation

We have been planning to visit Epic Universe for YEARS and the time finally came!  But first we had to make a few adjustments like renting a wheelchair and switching our Blue Springs State Park/rest day because our flight got delayed almost 2 hours so we didn’t get settled until 1:30am, Michelle came down ill and there was lightning in the forecast. 3 strikes and we were out! So first up was trying to find Manatees at BSSP… and failing. But it was beautiful place and I bet those sea cows were back the next day. We also enjoyed eating at Ford’s Garage & were impressed by Hubby’s ability to drive in one heck of a thunderstorm. The next day was our one and only Disney day and there was one and one reason only we picked Magic Kingdom: TRON!  We were so excited when the ride for Walt Disney Works was announced in 2017 and couldn’t believe it took us almost 10 years to ride the thing and we were not disappointed.  Just look at that ride photo that automatically connected to...

Middle Children Week 🎻 🎾 🏀

Without Danny and Michelle, this blog post wouldn't exist!  First up was Michelle's LYS concert, where she got to play pieces like  Adoration and  Simple Gifts  but liked playing Dvorak best.  She was thrilled to play those pieces.  Hubby and I loved being there in such a nice auditorium.  A couple days later was her high school concert, where my parents were able to join the two of us.  One of the perks was getting to hear the pieces they are planning on playing in Orlando next week, including Pirates of the Caribbean .  Since Michelle chose not to join them for their spring break trip it was fun for me to get to hear what they were planning. Michelle is so happy to be on the tennis team again this year and she and her parter, E, won their first match 8-3.  They have strengths that compliment each other well and it was neat to see them working together on the court.  Hubby didn't like the fact we had to be such polite fans, my dad...

Spoiler alert: Final 4 Bound!!! 🏀

One of the perks of working at your child’s school is that you might be able to catch your daughter performing with the Pops orchestra for the 5th graders during your 10 minute break.  Perfect timing!  I will never get tired of hearing Pirates of the Caribbean performed live. Happy 7th birthday to Maisie!  We didn’t make a big deal this year but Natalie and I did manage to buy her a special treat at Buc-ee’s on the way home from softball the day before. In dog years, Maisie is now the oldest member of the household. And she has been wonderful about hanging out with me on the sofa as I recover from my broken ankle.  Yes, that ankle that I thought was sprained wasn’t getting better.  X-rays had a spot that looked “fuzzy” so the orthopedic sent me to get a CT scan a few days later.  The CT confirmed that I do indeed have a “small minimally displaced fracture involving the dorsolateral aspect of the talar head.  Small osseous fragments adjacent to the ant...
