My oldest 3 loved having an entire week off of school and our littlest loved having them around. They really really really did not want to go back to school when the time came. My husband came up with the great idea to have off school from Thanksgiving until New Year's and add a week and a half to the beginning and end of the school year instead. I think he's a genius!
lots of play time at home
and sledding near by
another date with Daddy to a GS activity -- this time putting together hygiene kits to be delivered worldwide at the Children's Hospital. She earning her Global Awareness badge, a fun patch for the event, and a hygiene patch for collecting donations from her troop before hand. What a win for her Daisy vest!
We also enjoyed celebrating Blanche's wedding reception. M cried at the idea of leaving before getting her own special photo with the bride!
We were able to set up lots of play dates that we just don't seem to have time for when school is in session

and here we are dropping M at gymnastics camp for a day before taking D to his soccer clinic. D also attended a day of ninja camp at the gym and loved it. They are both signed up for a day of ninja camp over Christmas break. (K opted to stay home with N and I. She loves being able to relax on her days off.)
The big meal day finally arrived and we were super happy to have my cousins Jessica & Sam over for dinner and Daddy home from work. I'm so glad my cousins are willing to drive up to hang out with us sometimes. And the kids would have been devastated without them since my parents came down ill. Family is the best part of Thanksgiving. That and trying to convince my children they have A LOT to be grateful for. Happy belated Thanksgiving, everyone!
