February Festivities

Maisie was saved from her last appointment at the groomer by negative temperatures but even though it was snowing over the weekend, it was definitely time to go.  Here’s her before photo. While Hubby was dropping the dog off at the groomer and picking our iMac from the repair shop, these softball players and I were singing along to Taylor Swift because we accidentally got to practice 25 minutes early. Hey, when the phone said it would take half and hour last time we were 7 minutes late and this time it was snowing to boot so we allowed extra time. Well, it took half an hour because the roads were fine and the traffic was light. Huh. These girls are doing great!  The head coach told me she felt like she was so lucky with this group of players. They seem to enjoy each other but are also focused and always ready to go. She apologized that the new indoor practice facility is another 15 minutes farther away but promised it would be worth the extra drive because then the girls can h...

Spectating

I’m continuing to enjoy supporting Danny supporting his high school basketball team.  He and I stayed for the C team game as well, which lots of his former teammates are on.  It’s fun for me to be in the stands with parents I enjoy cheering their kids on. I enjoyed seeing Kate and A complete the super hard puzzle Kate was given.  I am impressed at their determination. I had the privilege to drive Michelle to Colorado Springs in preparation for her 8th grade orchestra’s CMEA performance.  We stopped at Garden of the Gods on our way to the Broadmoor and the snow made this beautiful location even more amazing.  It was fun to see families all dressed up in snow clothes and playing together.  I think it is so neat that this land was donated for the public to enjoy. This was our first time at the Broadmoor and it was amazing. The level of service was incredible, especially for the price in the off season.
