After a great trip it was great waking up in our own beds on Christmas morning. Even though I try my best to instill in my children that this holiday is about the Savior of the world, not presents -- it's still their favorite part. My parents joined us but somehow managed to avoid the camera pretty well. I did get this shot of children opening their presents from Dan's parents they sent money for while still on their mission in Bonaire. Between their parents, two sets of Grandparents and my Aunt Hope and our former neighbor, Marshon, I felt like these were some very spoiled children!
And for you dog lovers out there, Meigo did not get forgotten in the present department. She was happy as a clam with the stuffed toy we got her. Still going strong at almost 10 years old.
Two days after Christmas we were happy to have a party while the G. family was in town from CA to celebrate Christmas with their families. My favorite part (aside from chatting with my girl friends), was seeing these 4 girls together again. How I wish all my favorite people could just stay living in the same town with me -- or move to my town right now!
Christmas time also allowed my older 3 some quality time in the snow with their dad. There is a sledding hill within walking distance they enjoyed with some of our new neighbors. I do adore where we live. Feel free to move into my neighborhood anytime. Lots are still available. (;
