Christmas Letter 2022

Natalie was a great helper with the Christmas cards this year.  I got news the Christmas cards we sent out the day after Thanksgiving have made it all the way to places like Pennsylvania so I think it’s safe to post this now.  If you didn’t get one, please send me your address! Hubby  has been amazing with some of the unexpected responsibilities placed on him at work this year.   I am thrilled that his employer continues to appreciate him and that Hubby made the choice to work for them straight outta college so many years ago.   Hubby  joined a volleyball team at work and Orange Theory fitness and is doing great.   He continues to be the preferred parent for car pooling and cheering on at sporting events.   Hubby  is also my favorite human on the planet and considering how much I love people in general, that is saying a lot. I chose to keep working at the middle school this school year but asked to be there only on A days so that my team co...

Turkey 🦃 Time

I know it’s November if I find myself cheering at the elementary school for their annual fundraiser.  This year I was able to switch days with my part time coworker so that I could sign up to volunteer.  Imagine my surprise when I showed up to help and they handed me a cow bell and a Pom Pom and the only thing I did other than encourage was tie AT’s shoe.  Pretty easy way to earn a t-shirt to wear to work the next day. Lol.  Natalie really pushed herself and was more than ready to be done when the time was up.  I’m so proud of her grit with this and with so many other school related things. When another mom takes your kid’s picture while she’s marking other people’s laps and… When your mom takes a picture after you’ve given it your all running around your school.  So proud of you, Natalie.  Guess what.  You only get to do this one more time and then you’re off to middle school where they have inflatables and bubbles and no one keeps track of how m...

Happy (now belated) Halloween!

Hubby stepped up to take these four costume shopping after I had volunteered but due to me taking Michelle somewhere I hadn’t eaten dinner like he had.  I did get a text saying, “these boys are crazy” but Hubby must have leaned into the fun because he took them out for ice cream afterwards.  I think they are a sight to behold!  Actually, after Halloween when we were giving a new member of our ward a ride to Young Womens, Michelle and I were trying to describe Danny when we found out they were in the same photography class and eventually she knew exactly who he was when we said he was a green tele tubby for Halloween.  Lol.   Michelle is going for perfection with being a Harry Potter character three years in a row.  She was Hannah Abbott two years ago, Tonks last year, and a Ravenclaw this year. Michelle used her own money to buy official Hogwarts merch from the Universal store at MCO last February and we were able to find her the perfect skirt on Amazon to ...

Halloween Ready

I stole this cute picture from the the dance studio’s Instagram stories.  Michelle got to hang out with dance teammates before heading to Terror in the Corn with friends and it sounds like it was quite the fun day.  Then she was willing to go back to the studio the next day to help put down new tape on the studio floors and clean.  I showed up too and did things like clean the bathrooms which was a tad disgusting but very satisfying because it was obvious someone cared enough to clean them up.         Kate finished out her first high school volleyball season even though she was fighting off a cough.  The day after their last game she finally let herself rest by staying home from school for a day.  I am so darn proud of her!  Now she has a lot more free time after school and she spent her first day without volleyball practice doing a photo shoot with her friend C and I am totally in love with the results.  Autumn has been absolutely ...
