If this, why not that?

Since we were going out of town for 8 days, we decided to have a protective coat put on our wood floors while we were gone. Which meant that while I was packing for a cruise and a Disney World trip, we were also moving out of the first floor of our house. Then I decided that after all that effort of getting furniture out of the way and taking pictures off walls, it was time to paint the living room. And if the living room was getting painted, we might as well paint the main floor bathroom too.  I should have taken "before" pictures!  We now have white instead of builder's beige ceilings in the living room, kitchen, and bathroom. And instead of scuffed up beige walls in the living room we have "paradise green" ones.   Oh, and those chevron chairs in the living room.  Target sent us two gray ottomans and gliders instead and that was a total pain in the rear to get fixed.  I'm glad to have them and am awaiting the magical email that says the chairs we sent bac...

Our niece's wedding

When I saw on Instagram my oldest niece was proposed to in from of Hogwarts in Orlando, I instantly thought that was the perfect place for J to propose to C.  I should not have been surprised when she then announced it would be a Harry Potter themed wedding.  How fun!  In preparation for such a wedding, I had the children take a Sorting Hat quiz to see which house they would be in.  Hubby and I had taken the Pottermore quiz around the time we went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando and he came back Slythern and I am totally a Hufflepuff.  Our son takes after his father and M takes after me.  To my surprise, N came back as Gryffindor.  Finally justifies me purchasing that sweatshirt when I was cold in Florida.  lol.  K was the last one to take the quiz and I was kind of hoping she would come back Ravenclaw so all 4 houses would be represented in my family but with her being a Gryffindor, N won't be so lonely.
