End of School

The end of the school year was a busy, party filled, joyous time for our family this year.  When it wasn't raining, you could find us doing yard work or playing at the park.  There was so much rain the path we usually take to the school flooded and we had to bike the long way around when we picked K up.  Well, if you're already at the park, you might as well hang around for a while! How do you keep a two-year-old happy as you mulch?  Just put her in the wheelbarrow too.  How do you make a gardener sigh in exasperation?  Lay down on the flowers directly after she finishes caring for them.  Poor Meigo.  She just wanted to be near us but those rock are so uncomfortable for her 11-year-old doggie bones. D was super excited for the annual kindergarten egg drop after hearing all about K's last year.  His was completely different from hers and both eggs survived.  Look at that proud and happy smile. Let's go camping!

Last year we enjoyed the camping trailer we rented for Dan's family reunion and we wanted to camp that way again. After realizing the resale value of pop-ups we decided it was worth making a purchase vs. continuing to rent every summer. So we set out to find something just right for our family. A month later we found a used trailer that was what we wanted and we are excited, to say the least. Our first family trip went great at the local reservoir. It was fun to have the dog with us too and see her do so well. And although I have no photographic evidence, the S. family came and roasted s'mores with us in between thunder storms. Rain is no problem with that camping trailer!  We are looking forward to many more camp outs and feeling very spoiled!

Spring has sprung

Here's your catch-all post about spring!   The play house is a big hit.  Once the carpet is in I expect there to be lots and lots of fun and giggles coming from under the stairway. I finally had some neighbors over to the house when Caitlyn had her baby shower.  Only took me 20 months!  Well, the good news is, they are really nice people and Alyssa even sent me this picture.  And as the weather warms up we will all be hanging out in the neighborhood again like we did last summer.  I'm so looking forward to it! Spring pics from when the class pictures were taken.  I think they are pretty darn good looking, if I say so myself. Dan's project of making a projector screen from scratch for the basement had lots of volunteer helpers.  It is an awesome sight! These little mice popped up from the left over foam for said screen project.  (: Awww, M loves her doggie.  I do too.  The dog is on estrogen now and seems to ...
