March Moments

Happy Palm Sunday!  This was one of the last Sundays we were stuck being in the lobby during Sacrament meeting because we were late.  We've finally figured out what time to set the alarm clock for and it helps so much N loves nursery and is so excited to get her own shoes on for us.  Since so many of our neighbors were going to be out of town for Easter Sunday (including us) we had our annual Easter egg hunt in the pocket park on Palm Sunday this year.  A wonderful time was had by all and my children were so grateful they didn't have to miss it after all.  I apologize I didn't get great pictures. These two sisters.  It is so fun to see them wearing matching outfits K and M used to wear together.  I just love the smile N is giving M in this picture.  It should be interesting to see how N gets used to having M also go to school every day like K and D do next year.  I hope she doesn't get bored! This is perfection right here. ...

Road trip!

For an excellent family reunion, we met up with Dan's family in St. George.  But before all the fun had with extended family there, we had some adventures getting there.  First, we stopped at the Great Sand Dunes, which I hadn't been to since I was in high school.  The kids absolutely loved that giant sand box and would get so far ahead of us they looked like spots and we feared they wouldn't have enough energy to make it back to the van.  But they sure did!  Added bonus: spending the night at my BYU roommate's house with her awesome family.  My son kept asking me for a while when we were going to go back and play.  I guess he forgot it took 5 hours to get there. The next day we headed off for the Grand Canyon.  Did you know that GC National Park has its own health clinic?  We didn't know that either, but after spending almost all night walking the hotel halls with a very sick little girl, I found out quick.  First thing in the morn...

February Fun

Sometimes I can't believe all the things that can fit into one month.  Framing was completed on the basement, we took the children to their first basketball came to watch Teagan K. and Jaymie A. play, D and N got a kick out of wearing penguin pajamas on the same nights, and enjoyed another great Super Bowl party with the neighbors. This cute boy made me feel so blessed when my awesome hubby shared the following story on Instagram:  "Just dropped this cute kid off at school.  On the way there he said, 'I don't like school very much.'  I asked him why, he said with a tear in his eye 'because I don't like being away from Mom.' He then continues with a smile on his face, 'when I'm in second or third grade I'll be more used to being away from Mom.' @baijiemei your boy loves you so much (and so do I). We shoveled snow and bought supplies for the basement and popped packaging bubbles and took advantage of a sunny Saturday to head t...
