At 5am I couldn't sleep after taking care of Michelle, Meigo, & Danny, so decided to go through photos to get ready to create blog posts. (Blast that dog!) Imagine my surprise when I came across a bunch of zoo pictures... and I had forgotten Dan & I took the children to the zoo on April 2nd! Totally forgot. Reminds me of all the times lately when people have to repeat what they are saying for me to understand them. I'm convinced I'm going deaf & losing my mind at age 30. Can we please just blame this on interrupted sleep? Because if I'm this bad now & it is only going downhill from here, I'm going to be quite the interesting lady by the time my children graduate from high school.
Kaelah was thrilled the train was fixed! We had a great time riding it. I think this is one reason why they give zoo members discounts on the rides: it makes us feel like it can be a tradition instead of a "just on birthdays" thing.
We were mega excited for Kaelah to wear her new giraffe shirt to the zoo I had gotten on clearance last summer... but she didn't want me to take a picture. I'm a mean mom & took the picture anyway. That's one of the downsides of growing up in the age of digital cameras -- I don't care if shots are wasted.
Sea lion show! I am seriously impressed at what those critters can do. They can keep my son's attention for the entire time. Now that's saying something!
Watching this polar bear check out the food and smells that were hidden while she was inside was thoroughly entertaining as well. I must admit I got pretty embarrassed when a 5-year-old tried to get a better view by shoving Danny out of the way & Danny pushed back hard enough to land the boy on his tush. Well, I guess I don't need to worry about Danny being bullied in school, but we may have to worry about the opposite!
Glad you could come with us, Daddy! We love you!P.S. Also glad we took pictures so I could remember this trip happened. Golly.
