Our littlest girl is growing up way too fast! Here are some pictures from the last little while that seem so long ago already. On the day Michelle turned 4 months old she weighed 14 pounds 6 oz. I wish I could tell you how tall she was, but I lost the piece of paper & my mind is mush. She was in the 90th percentile for height, which is no big surprise considering who her daddy is.
Much more impressive than Michelle's weight gain is how much she has changed in the last month. She fell in love with toys, interacts with Danny & the dog much more, gets so excited she gasps as loud as an adult (& flaps her arms), rolls around to get to where she wants, & can completely destroy a TIME magazine while you think she's sleeping. She just seems so big now. Not a newborn anymore, but an infant. Oh, and she can tell quite story. My father said she sounds like a cat in heat sometimes. lol. Michelle is such a wonderful baby. At times I go to check on her although she has woken up with no one around, she is perfectly quiet & simply studying her surroundings. What an amazing little baby. I feel so lucky. She seems to be right in the middle of Kaelah & Danny (personality wise, what she plays with) so I'm hoping she's going to be a tomboy like her momma. (:
Kaelah loves to hold her little sister. How did we get Danny to hold still?
Playing bubbles with Sabrina R. I had no idea someone so young could play along with her older siblings. Thank goodness for friends to help you discover good things.
K & D hated tummy time but it is M's preferred playing position. Emily S., I still love the blanket you made her! Thank you!
Michelle can sit up all by herself... well, with the help of a Boppy pillow. (Kaelah was so excited.)
Content to simply be in the same room with me.
This is such a wonderful age. Old enough to play but young enough to not be cranky with teething (or get into trouble). With Kaelah I was always waiting or wondering when the next milestone would come along. With Danny I was always amazed at how fast it came. With Michelle I just want her to stay this way for as long as possible! But then she wouldn't be growing up healthy, so that would be bad. She's just right exactly the way she is. Love you, baby girl!
P.S. Michelle is finally getting hair again this week! She was born with very dark brown hair & almost all of it fell out. Then she was ultra bald & then began getting peach fuzz. Now on the very top of her head in the middle she's getting a little length to her hair again -- in dirty blond. Our three children might have light, medium, & dark hair. Sounds good to me b/c I like variety. Oh, and her eyes are getting more brown in them... seems like she'll have her Daddy's hair & her mommy's eyes. This guessing game is so much fun.
