We've been spoiled & busy so far this month! I feel so lucky some old (as in dear -- lol) friends of mine were kind enough to throw Danny a baby shower. The treats & presents were great! Being around women I've known for years is just so special. Crazy to think about all that has changed since we met years ago. For one thing, between the 6 of us there were only 3 children. Now look at what we've got:
At the shower I noticed yet another difference between Kaelah & Danny (there are so many). Whereas Kaelah seemed to enjoy brunettes best, Danny seems to prefer women with light hair. The timing of the shower was perfect too, because Danny has begun smiling and cooing. He's such a joy to be around! It's amazing to see how much he smiles at his family and what a kick we get out of it. My favorite is when he and Kaelah start smiling at each other & then Kaelah starts laughing sooo hard. They seem to be a perfect sibling pair. (Except when they clunked heads last week. That was a HUGE cry fest.)
The day after the baby shower Danny had his 2 month check-up. He's doing great! He's 24" tall & weighs 13 pounds 10 oz. -- no wonder he feels so heavy when I carry him around. I keep asking him if he's sure he's only 2 months old. I've put away all of his 0-3 month sized clothes. He certainly didn't like the immunizations & was cranky for a couple days, but other than that Danny is still such an easy baby.
In other news, we finally broke down & got a new dryer -- and it works! Clothes only take an hour instead of 3 hours to dry and it doesn't eat holes in clothes!!! As an added perk, you can watch the clothes tumble through the door, as seen above. The same day we got our dryer we were blessed to have the Stratton family stop by before heading home to Idaho. It's been 4 years since we've seen each other & we failed to take a picture, but I just had to mention it.
