Happy Thanksgiving

The big day:  lots of delicious food and family to make you laugh on this wonderful holiday to be grateful for what we have.  I am thankful that my parents moved here after we did and that I have cousins to join in on the festivities with us now as well. I just have to say my at home dance and gymnastics class DVDs I bought M are getting well used by N now. This amazing photo was taken by one of our friends of the Super Moon we got to enjoy in November.  You can purchase prints from him.  Just ask me for the info.  N is loving all her play dates with her preschool friends and the Snoopy inflatable she picked out to help decorate the house this fall. We finally had our first snow -- not a whole lot to work with but exciting for the children nonetheless.   D earned his 50 miles with 100 mile club!  That is a little less than he ran all last year.  He says he is aiming for 100 miles this year.  I'm sure the nice fall w...

Turkey Trot

I've never had a preschooler in public school before but oh my goodness, watching those preschoolers walk and run around to try to earn money for their school was so adorable it hurt.  K was N's running buddy in the morning and in the afternoon N and I returned to school to cheer on her 3 older siblings.  We had a blast watching them go around and around.  A special moment for this only child was seeing a 3 sister hug as M stopped to say hi while the 1st graders were having their turn on the field.  We lucked out and got one of every color t-shirt this year.  Look at that sunshine!  We couldn't have asked for better weather -- it was even nice enough to go home and play with neighbor friends outside until past dinner time.

New in November

We have been enjoying such lovely weather this fall.  Still plenty of time to take N to the park... have the Activity Day girls over ...  have preschool friends over...  try out our first Raingutter Regatta with the Boy Scouts (along with Scouting for Food later)...  attending a Girl Scout program with CU engineering students...  M earning her 100 mile club shirt... and earning another cake from her reading tutor... going out to eat lunch with mom after picking up the dog's medicine... wearing read while and blue... playing on the swings with best friends... and enjoy some amazing fall sunsets while it's still warm enough to wear a t-shirt (this was when I was picking her up from her yoga class at the school.  D is taking magic class once a week after school)...   paint ceramics at L's birthday party...  watch a new neighbor launch rockets... enjoy gymnastics and ballet DVDs in your pjs while mo...

Trick or Treat

Here's a trick, when you realize you didn't write a blog post the entire month of October, put all your randomness in one place!   D earned his 100 mile club shirt N enjoying yet another play date with her bestie  and her new favorite pajamas  bowling with Grandma on a Saturday afternoon so that Daddy could work on his paper for his master's degree in peace  fun Halloween treats made at Activity Days visiting the pumpkin patch with M's Girl Scout troop  Marshmallow's homemade costume We had N's best friends and their families over for a taco bar dinner and decorating Halloween cookies.  It was such a blast to see the boys running around and to have K.W. read the girls a story. After two days of saws, jack hammers, concrete (a dozen men working) our sidewalk was repaired by the city. pumpkin carving! Special story time at the library with friend R.
