The Holderness Family on YouTube is helping me smile my way through May.  They have a great parody called "It's Gonna Be May."  Look it up for a laugh!  Our version of the music video would include gardening, litter pick up with the Scouts, water play,  linger longer at church, foraging for food to eat while brother works on his baseball skills, playing in the rain and hail, receiving great thank you notes for volunteer work done during this school year, wishing the world a happy Star Wars day, celebrating with a May Faire, lots of volleyball games, a stake Activity Days event,  an overnight with the 16 girls in our troop at the zoo, eating Dole Whips for lunch, the beginning of baseball season, using the new truck as a swimming pool thanks to borrowing a neighbor's tarp, watching D and his best friend trash talk each other when their teams played against one another, enjoying spring blooms,  r...

This year convinced me every elementary school child should have a two week long spring break. After our trip M had an entire week for things like go to the Butterfly Pavilion, fly kites, help buy Hubby a new grill at Costco and play dates.  A glimpse of K and M loved learning how to make lemonade from lemons at Activity Days. We are going to miss having Sister S. as our Activity Days leader but are grateful we got to be around her as much as we did.  Now the meetings are going to be at our house! M loved visiting her friend Z over break. It’s her dream to be a farmer and she got to spend the day at a real farm with one of her best friends! D working while I was there to help with tile math.
