MLK Day & more

Working on Baloo the Builder belt loop at his den meeting.  I am grateful he has such good leaders and a nice, big group of boys to do things like this with. Joy. Star Wars dress up time! MLK Day my parents spent time teaching D about Dunkirk so he could watch the movie, playing High Ho Cherry Oh and going bowling.  It was a great day, especially since in the morning it was nice enough to snow. When your skinny little girl asks to go to Smashburger for lunch, you say yes. Beautiful ice due to melted snow dropping down from the doctor's office roof.  K had another check up that went really well.  We are now up to the half dose of the medication we began right after our cruise.  Her Z. has also been upped 15mg due to her growing up.  That's my coat she's wearing! N couldn't leave the bank until I took a picture of her Lego creation. And likes to pick out the music while we are in the mini van.  We turn it off for the car...

And a Happy New Year!

Time off school means getting to do things we don't usually get to do, such as go ice skating... go to a white elephant party... create (with new gifts)... go to a day off school sports camp from 8am to 5pm with neighbors K & R... lots of Monopoly games... a trip to the museum of nature and science... day camp at M's favorite horse place... and us girls going to Noodles while the boys went skiing... On New Year's day we took down all the Christmas decorations, including my beloved Christmas cards and put up Chinese New Year decorations. One of the things we did in early 2018 was to prepare the first sharing time of the year and that included a trip to Hobby Lobby for supplies.  D, M and N declared that Hobby Lobby is the best store in the entire world.  lol. As part of my New Year's resolutions, I am reading a book called Unglued that I am loving.  This was one of the quotes I thought about putting on Instagram.  It is very r...

Merry Christmas!

The drive to church on Christmas Eve was gorgeous, helped by snow and that we were heading out for a 10am meeting instead of the usual 9am one.  (:  Since a visiting grandma took a video of the entire song, I thought it was ok to sneak a quick photo of my children singing Away in the Manger.  After church D and M were very excited about the pies from Sprouts they bought with their own money and had to pose with them in front of the Christmas tree. Somehow my parents got away with not having any nice pictures taken of them when they came over for a fancy dinner and to spend the afternoon and evening with us.  My mother did a wonderful job with buying the children presents.  I think she tried extra hard since she knew Hubby and I told everyone their Disney cruise was their Christmas present.  Thank you, Mom! The children had a slumber party on our bedroom floor on Christmas Eve and miraculously slept well and didn't wake us up to see their s...
