Turkey Trot

I've never had a preschooler in public school before but oh my goodness, watching those preschoolers walk and run around to try to earn money for their school was so adorable it hurt.  K was N's running buddy in the morning and in the afternoon N and I returned to school to cheer on her 3 older siblings.  We had a blast watching them go around and around.  A special moment for this only child was seeing a 3 sister hug as M stopped to say hi while the 1st graders were having their turn on the field.  We lucked out and got one of every color t-shirt this year.  Look at that sunshine!  We couldn't have asked for better weather -- it was even nice enough to go home and play with neighbor friends outside until past dinner time.

Cub Scout Haunted Weekend

This Saturday full of scout camp fun came highly recommended and did not disappoint.  Archery, BB guns, wrist rockets, a new ball game, Halloween candy, lunch and dinner, carving pumpkins, a Halloween costume parade and contest, and amazing haunted castle (we attended the non-scary version that was still spooky)... complete with a glow in the dark patch made this event something I am so glad we didn't miss.
